The short version
Your shift data stays on your device. ShiftTally has no accounts, no ads, no analytics trackers, and no server that collects your personal information. We built it that way on purpose.
Who we are
ShiftTally ("the app") is an independently developed iOS application for logging work shifts, tracking hours and calculating earnings. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
Data stored on your device
Everything you enter into ShiftTally — your shifts, times, breaks, hourly rate and settings — is stored locally on your device only. This data:
- is never uploaded to our servers (we don't operate any servers that receive your data);
- is never sold, shared or used for advertising;
- is not accessible to us in any way;
- is deleted when you delete the app (it may persist in your own iPhone backups, which are controlled by you and Apple).
Accounts and sign-up
ShiftTally does not require or offer any account, registration or login. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or any other contact details through the app.
Purchases
If optional paid features are offered in the app, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat, a subscription management service, to validate purchases. In that case, RevenueCat processes a random anonymous identifier and purchase receipt information — not your name, email or payment details, which are handled solely by Apple. Analytics and tracking
The app contains no third-party advertising SDKs and no cross-app tracking. We do not use your data to track you across apps or websites, and the app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because there is nothing to track.
Children
ShiftTally is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because your data is stored only on your device and we do not hold any personal information about you, requests for access, correction or deletion can be fulfilled by you directly: your data is visible in the app, editable in the app, and permanently removed by deleting the app. If you have any questions about your rights under UK GDPR or other applicable law, contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices ever change — for example, if a future feature introduces optional cloud sync — this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and the "last updated" date above will change.
